Senior places 2nd in local Entrepreneur Challenge

David Wassmuth, a senior at St. John Bosco Academy, recently competed in the Entrepreneur Challenge at Lewis-Clark State College and placed 2nd in the high school division.  The event was set up similarly to the popular TV show Shark Tank.  Each competitor had four minutes to pitch an idea for a new product to a panel of local business owners.  The business owners then had five minutes to ask questions of the participant.  The participants were judged on how their product solved a problem, as well as their market plan and financial model.  The winner of each division (high school, college and small business) then presented to a new panel of judges in the final pitch-off.  A total of $5000 in cash prizes were given to the winners.  This is an annual event hosted by the Business Division at LCSC, and participation is open to anyone.  Pictured are Business Division chair Luther Maddy and David Wassmuth.
